This industrial construction job required Slaten to prep an empty 200,000 ft² facility to receive one of the first aluminum can assembly lines. Work included saw cutting and removing over 3,000 tons of concrete and earth to depths near 20’ below grade. All new underground plumbing and electrical, including waste pits, a 2-story steel platform, designated machine rooms, and a clean industrial epoxy finish, was installed. Slaten also performed various maintenance work at both of its Illinois locations.
